Round nose for better control These high-quality files were in our catalog long ago―and thanks to your requests they're back! The special rounded nose is great for getting extra clearance over the body while crowning, something square end files can't do. This design is the best of both worlds! The extra length also works fast, with just a few strokes you're done. Long-lasting diamond coating Each file edge is electro-coated with micro industrial diamonds. These super-tough abrasives round the frets more smoothly and stay sharp longer than standard toothed files. Better control, faster work Diamond particles cut on both the push and pull stroke (traditional toothed files only cut one way). This gives better control over your work, and the job goes much faster. They don't chatter or leave file marks, and the fret is smoother after crowning. The 150-grit file is great for quickly removing material and restoring the crown, and the 300-grit file leaves you with a surface that easily polishes to a mirror-shine. Double-edge covers more instruments Each file has hollow-ground cutters in two sizes for crowning a variety of fretwire. Narrow/Medium files are for mandolin, banjo and guitar fretwire.
